Ann Harrison started her company, Harrisons in May 2003, as a legal consultancy specialising in Music and Entertainment Law. Ann Harrison has over 30 years experience dealing with all aspects of the UK and Irish music and entertainment business. She works for both new and established Artists, Managers, Record Labels, Entrepreneurs, Executives, Producers and Publishers.
In November 2014 Ann joined Swan Turton as a consultant. Swan Turton is a law firm specialising in providing legal advice and services to the media, entertainment and creative industries. So it is a good fit for the work Ann does. She continues to provide the same type of advice to new and existing clients from Swan Turton's offices in Covent Garden, central London. The move also gives Ann ready access to lawyers who are recognised as leaders in their respective fields such as commercial law, film, theatre and the visual arts as well as litigation and dispute resolution services.
Legal representation is important for everyone in the music business, whether they are just starting out or have been around for a while as the law and practice changes continuously. We advise and inform you as to what is a fair deal and how to go about getting one; how to protect your rights and how to exploit their potential.
Ann continues to offer the highest level of client contact, allowing her to establish and maintain a good working relationship with all her clients, whether they are established companies or individuals just starting out in the business. Ann believes it is important to get to know her clients in order for her to understand their needs so that she can advise them on the best way to move forward or develop their careers.
Music Business Courses is the exciting new venture from two very experienced music business figures: Ann Harrison and Ian Ramage.
The aim of these courses is to provide qualified, practical information about the business in a stimulating small group environment. Our courses are free of academic bureaucracy and will offer a direct and personal insight into how it all works.
In addition to our own courses we have now run several courses as part of the The Guardian's Masterclasses series held in The Guardian's own building in King's Cross.
